The Dublin guide for a rainy day - The Boozy Guide

Staycationing in Ireland is all fun and games until the heavens open up and your plans are ruined. Luckily for you, in this blog series I will be rounding up the best places to visit in Dublin on a rainy day, so you can still make the most of your city-break. Make sure to subscribe for more indoor activity ideas for a wet day in Dublin!

Things to Do

1. Guinness Storehouse

It would be a crime to visit Dublin and not visit the number 1 attraction - The Guinness Storehouse. Here you can learn all about the history of Guinness. You will also get the opportunity to learn how to pour a nice big pint of "the black stuff" (yes, you get to drink it too!). Not to mention, it offers amazing panoramic views of Dublin City from their rooftop bar.

2. Afternoon Tea

Sit back, relax and indulge in one of Dublin's many Afternoon Tea menu's. What better way to spend a gloomy day than sampling an enticing selection of nibbles and teas. If you're feeling brave, you can always opt for the alcoholic option!

The top three afternoon teas on offer in Dublin can be found in:

  • The Westbury Hotel
  • The Shelbourne Hotel
  • The Merrion Hotel
3. Bottomless Brunch

If the first two options aren't quite up your street, I'm sure this next one will be. Bottomless drinks and a delicious brunch - what's not to love?

The places that offer the best (in my opinion) bottomless brunch in Dublin are:

  • Bow Lane Social Club
  • Platform 61
  • Beef & Lobster
  • Thundercut Alley
  • Cleaver East
Well, that's it for now. I hope you found this helpful and make sure to stay tuned for the rest of this blog series to discover more fun ideas for a wet day in Dublin. I'd love to hear your comments and reviews if you try these places!
